will.jpgThe pre-paid legal pans need to be considered if you want one. Before you enroll you should have the first hand information. We give below the list of what you get and what you don’t get.

1) Office and Telephone Consultations: The telephone consultancy is unlimited and you can contact your assigned lawyers any time you want to clear some issue. You can contact your attorney for 30 minutes per day which is included in your legal plan and does not cost you a penny if you are registered for a pre-paid plan. The condition being that you can talk about a different legal matter. This is beneficial as this works as a preventive medicine which can prevent the problems before they arrive. It helps in taking the legal course so that unnecessary legal problems are avoided. To avoid all this you can talk to your attorney who can help you.

2) Follow-up Service: The attorneys assigned to you can help you by writing letters and making phone calls on your behalf to third parties. This follow up service can help to solve the legal problems.

3) Legal Document Review: Insurance policies, sales contract and leases can be viewed by your attorneys. The only condition is that they should be simple personal legal documents. You can consult your attorney about these documents and get their advice on it. Find out more about life insurance.

4) Drafting of wills: Usually will is a document which gives direction to any person to distribute your assets in a manner to people after your death. The attorney can help you to draft the will according to the state law you are residing in. They can also help you in appointing a guardian or establishing a trust on your behalf.

5) Discount on regular fees: The additional services when required which is not covered in the written pre-paid plan agreements can get you a discount of up to 25 to 30 % discount. The services can include family matters such as divorce, custody of children and court representation for traffic tickets and law suits.

The legal paperwork while signing the pre-paid plan need to be looked into and they are:1) Written fee agreement: Here it is outlined what services are included in the plan, at what cost and how the payment is to be made.

2) Grievance procedure: The document also will detail on the complaints about the attorney and the disputes regarding the services provided for the fee collected.

With all the articles that we have been presenting you with, I hope you have got some food for thought. But, I have been thinking that maybe it is not enough. In addition to giving you a bunch of articles to read on this blog, I should probably go out there and get you some lovely online resources that will help you in your legal quests on the Internet.

In that spirit, I am glad to present a wonderful resource that I just came across. It is called LawProfessor.com. This is an Online Legal Directory that will bring you legal resources from all over the web. In addition to being well organized, it is updated and otherwise helpful.

That brings us to our regular programming about the use of the Internet in the business of law. I am not a lawyer, and I do not play one on pod casts :) but the fact is that the Internet has profoundly affected the way law is performed. And I am not referring solely to those parts of law that have taken birth as a result of the Internet: the wide umbrella of cyber and digital law.

I am talking about the way people access law and lawyers. The site that I brought to you today is one step in acquainting you with that direction

business_law.jpgIf you have already registered for a pre-paid plan and not happy with the services or you think you are not getting the legal services you think you need, then you should think of upgrading to the more comprehensive plan.

A comprehensive prepaid legal plan is good for majority of the legal services needed to an individual during a given year. They can get legal advice and information which is provided by the plan from a toll-free number and follow up advice is given free of cost.

If the legal issues you have are more complex which require more time and effort from the attorney then the comprehensive plan is more beneficial than the basic plan.

A trust can be set up and a complicated business sale contract can be drawn instead of a simple will or a simple business contract in the comprehensive plan. Legal representation can be provided in the court case such as child custody.

Comprehensive prepaid plans are most suitable for people who need business advice, have family trusts or own real estates properties.

And on a related note, I must point out that I came across an excellent site for legal form software that a friend runs. When you need such forms, you must visit this site.
